Can i take ccie without ccna

What does ccie stand for? Does CCIE certification expire? What is the average salary of a CCNP? Does CCNP expire? What happens if my CCNA expired? How long is CCNA valid? What happens if my CCNP expired? Is the CCNA worth it? Previous Article Is math important in your life? Which Cisco certification is best? What is Cisco Certified Specialist?

How do I become Cisco certified? Who needs CCNP? Is CCNP hard? Which CCNP course is best? Study the book.. I know what you mean Smithin CCIE is not an easy exam especially the Lab. It is the epitome and it is for a good reason. CCIE needs you to know everything. Nobody knows everything and even after you have completed your CCIE you still learn things everyday.

Well the answer is NO because all employers are seeking is experience. Now of course a CCIE with no experience won't get a CCIE job and you will find unended discussions about the fact that this means nothing but I disagree with that because it means a lot of things apart from real world experience that in my point of view are invaluable skills to succeed as a network engineer: you can think out of the box, you know how technologies entwine, you know where to look for infos, you know what it is to be commited, you can support pressure, you can skip the accessory from the essential Aren't these also important skillz for a network engineer, I don't know what you think about it but my opinion is Yes they are.

Furthermore if you've got 10 years of experience with one technology, are you better than someone with 2 years with multiple technologies, I don't think so and I consider that experience is relative and that if you've got a lab, if you helped others it is some experience too but employers unfortunately don't consider it this way. I know lots of people won't agree with me but I'm a passionnate guy and I think that in IT passion is a key skill that no one takes into account and I think this is a pity.

You just spoke my mind. That is exactly my point of view too. Knowledge is an addiction, its a never ending hapiness. The motive for whatever I study every day and night for hours together hasn't come just coz i feel it gets me money or luxury, I do it coz, this thing just pulls me like a huge magent towards it.

And this passion will never die, whatever position in life one reaches or how much ever one earns, the process of learning continues endlessly. No repenting for whatever i have learned till now, every bit of knowledge I have gained is a gold mine.

Now, i can happily go back find a job as CCNA, and it makes no difference at all. I'm still gonna continue learning. It is hard to believe for me that you can't find a job.

I don't know where you live but I think somewhere in the USA, yes? You are very active in this forum and also I saw you in cisco support forums, you are designated VIP there. Or maybe you get some offers, but you don't apply? Because you think it's not your dream job? I live in the french part of Belgium and all the offers I receive are for experienced years minimum engineers. I can tell you I applied for lots of jobs but even if I make it to the interviews and the technical part is always ok,at the end someone with more experience is taken that's life Totally agree with you.

For me too, the only option to get a job is to pass ccie and get a start at lower end. Every job opportunity out there asks for at-least years exp, even the ones that require a ccna level technical know how. I think the whole thing boils down to the hands on ability to route or to switch,no matter the size of the network.

Just keep gathering the little experiences ,even with your CCIE, very soon the opportunity will come your way. Never forget to recognise and seize them. Wishing you the best. I'll mostly be walking the road you have taken. Thank you smithin Thanks a lot bro, where are you put up btw?

How are the oppurtunities there? I stay in bangalore. I agree with Alain and other writters as well. I am an Instructor Cisco and thru the yrs I have been I have learned to answer some of the questions being asked here. I am not saying my answers are correct but they give insight to what happens in life.

My answer has always been "Its one thing getting a certificate and its another thing getting a job". I will go ahead and ask this question: " What happens when someone enrolls at a University? How Get more cisco icnd1 passing score click there. Most CCNP certifications would also be retiring. Right now, networking professionals would be beginning a specialization track at the CCNA level. You would be required to clear two exams: a core exam and one concentration exam.
