Or that they didn't show any patience at all with it. But, as was the case with "Dollhouse," the original pilot wasn't that great. Neither was the pilot that eventually made it on the air. Maybe if Joss could just produce six or eight episodes of a series with no intention of airing them. And then, when he has the kinks worked out, start producing episodes for the rest of us to see. I get that it's disappointing when a show you like gets canceled.

I've lived through those disappointments more times than I care to think about. But you can't force people to watch a show. Sometimes, no matter how much patience a network has, a show is never going to catch on. Just look at "Arrested Development.
