Linebackers in the Draft are separated by which position they will fit best in. Most prospects under pounds are considered to be weak-side prospects. When they reach pounds or more and seem to have room to add more bulk, they get thrown into the inside or middle linebacker role. Are they able to make plays while still engaged? Toughness and Motor: Is he able to continue on a play after engaging and shedding a block or even multiple blocks? Range and Speed: Can they run the field laterally? Can they close space? Can they effectively Change Directions and generate speed coming out of breaks? So what is the ideal size for a linebacker?
